Upon check-in, which took mere moments, I was greeted with a warmth reminiscent of simpler times, quickly whisked to my spacious room that comfortably catered to a family with its two double beds and one single. One of the highlights was the breakfast, an authentic spread showcasing local flavors. The fresh bread, rich cheeses, and hearty sausages truly captured the essence of the region’s culinary offerings. My morning routine soon unfolded into a delightful ritual, sipping tea while pondering over the charming view from the window. While I did not dine at the hotel's on-site restaurant, Ban Palay, the ambiance I observed hinted at culinary innovation, presenting an inviting space to enjoy their meals. For those keen to explore, the easy drive to Gruyère's picturesque old town adds an exciting touch to the stay. This hotel offers a nostalgic yet convenient experience for families; it embodies charm while ensuring comfort in the Swiss landscape.
